As Nike-sponsored athletes from all-over the globe anticipate setting personal bests and breaking records at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the brand has unveiled more styles of the footwear these same runners have made staples in their training journey. The ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% 2 has recently turned back the clock to the brand’s days as Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS).
Akin to previously-seen iterations of the carbon fiber plate-donning model, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in a mostly-white color palette. Hits of faint black create a two-tone makeup across the ultra-breathable upper, taking over the “BRS” stamp on the lateral heel. The tall foam midsole underfoot follows suit in a “yin-and-yang”-appropriate style, but reinforcement around the forefoot and detailing on the tongue and spine deviate in bold tiger stripe patterns. “University Gold” delivers an eye-catching touch that’ll surely motivate wearers to go fast.
Enjoy official images of this ZoomX-cushioned running sneaker ahead, as your wait for a stateside Nike.com release.
