Nike Adds Gum Soles To The Vapormax Flyknit 3_Sole Says It All

Nike VaporMax first hit retailers in 2017. Since then, the pod-like cushioning has graced countless in-line releases, most recently the VaporMax 360, and even a limited collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market. As revealed for the Tokyo Olympics 2020, the lug-like system isn’t going anywhere. But before its newest VaporMax silhouette arrives, Nike will continue outfitting models like the VaporMax Flyknit 3 in compelling colorways.

Unlike the FlyEase-exclusive VaporMax 2020, this upcoming pair features laces, though they camouflage with their grey tongue. Uppers slightly vary in shade, but they’re knitted, too. Forefoot and heel overlays proffer further contrast, as well as structural reinforcement, but pale in comparison, just as black profile Swooshes, to the tan Apollo space suit-inspired tongue labels. Underneath, the light brown scheme reappears in the fan-favorite “Gum” outsole application around high-wear zones. Elsewhere, VaporMax units keep their standard clear finish.

Take a closer look at this simple, yet impressive Grey/Gum VaporMax Flyknit 3 here below. No release date has been announced, but pairs are likely to hit Nike.com in the coming weeks.
