RTFKT Reveals The Nike Dunk Genesis In Three Colorways_Sole Says It All

Although the future of NFTs are, at this point, uncertain, there are still several projects that have yet to reach their ultimate conclusion. The RTFKT x Nike Dunk Genesis, for example, is still currently in development, with the “Forging Event” soon to be underway.

The Swoosh has been building for the metaverse for a few years now, joining forces with RTFKT to create a drove of digital sneakers. Many of these have since made the transition into the real world, and soon the duo’s Dunks will follow suit. The “Forging Event” — where holders of eligible collectibles can redeem their NFTs for an actual, physical sneaker — is scheduled to take place from October 18th to the 30th. According to the FAQ, there will be a total of three colorways on offer, all of which cost the equivalent of $222 USD in ETH plus gas fees to redeem.

Ahead of the event, RTFKT has teased an in-hand look at an early pair of their Dunk Genesis, which can be viewed below. The final iterations of this colorway as well as the accompanying two designs will be published on a dedicated microsite before October 18th.
